My system temp
im running redhat 7.3 and wondered if theres any way i can view the system temp,
i saw these values in the bios on bootup; Motherboard temp: 33 oC / 91 oF CPU temp : 50 oC / 122 oF CPU fan speed : 4647 RPM (i run a server and its getting hot so i want to keep an eye on it) So is there a way to view these values other than in the bios, or a small app or shell script that could do the job, Thx all, James |

eww... not a homebrew :-) humph... I've never heard of a mobo with no manufacturer boasting. Do you see anything at startup? Look in BIOS for a name. You may even be able to see it listed in a lin hardware listing like in KDE's configuration app. Look for a serial number maybe? If all else fails, ask the dude(s)(ette(s)) you got it from. If nothing still... well you may want to question the legality of your parts :-) HTH

Find a compnurse - hardware probe - it's faster and more reliable than software and it doesn't care about operating systems nor does it care about board manufacturer - and it cost not more than 10 usd...
To check your mainboards manufacturer take a look here - and then you just post back with that line on yours - that's all. http://www.thedebug.com/pictures/bios.jpg Hpro
