Hi
im using a gigabyte 8ixrp motherboard with onboard raid(pdc 20276). I am having problems installing linux using raid because redhat 7.3 doesnt support my raid drivers, i used the linux dd command and used linux 7.2 drivers but that wont work, any idea where i can get better drivers for linux 7.3??? help would be appreciated Roger a.k.a slyder |

Who's the maker of the RAID chip on your motherboard? You could also use software RAID, but I'm sure you'd like to get try to get hardware RAID working. HTH

Promise are the makers!!!
i tried software raid but linux doesnt want to use my hdd drives when they are plugged into my raid ports, it just says it cant access the hdd even though it can see them. that rules out software raid i think the problem lies somewhere with the fact that linux is older than my raid configuration theirfore it doesnt recognise it as raid!!! any ideas? |
