Need me mail server back!
I used to use sambar server when i was on windows, and it had everything, it sorted out all my http requests and sorted out me mail aswell, it was bliss
then i moved to redhat, which dont get me wrong - i'de never go back : -) The one problem i have is mail, i cant offer any mail services to my site users because i just cant get it working, I can send mail out fine, i've tested it a number of times so that all seems good (using sendmail i believe) How do i set my server to recieve mail ? I've tried loads of things but it just doesnt seem to go my way, im trying to give webmail access agin to my site users, so something that has built in webmail support would be great, but unfortunatly my server doesnt support php so this limits me some-what Has anyone got any words of wisdom to help me out? Thanks all, James |

You probably havent got a response yet because that is such a broad query. What are you using for mail? IMAP? POP? What package? Once you decide on what you are going to use, its just a matter of configuring it. Webmail is a front end, that can be configured depending on what scripting language you intend to use - after you get your mail server running. The Sambar "server" is nothing more than a software package that installs a number of packages - it is not a single solution. Your redhat comes with a number of packages for a number of servers and services. Read the documentation or you can install and configure your mail server after you know what to get.
