how do you install programs in linux
I have just got into Linux Mandrake 9.0 and i have never used linux systems befofe so i am very confurse and lost , i can't afford to go back to MS windows or buy XP as i , never the less i have two questions
1)how do i install applicatoin , i want to be able to view , shockwave , realplayer and so on like i used to with IE , how can i do this with mandrake . 2)i also want to install my printer on mandrake how do i do that ? 3) I have two hard drives , how can i view the contexts in those harddrive. |

Here's a whole list on info and help on using Mandrake, I suggest reading through the basics, it'll really help you get started. http://www.mandrakeuser.org/docs/index.html Check out the "Installing Software" section. As for plugins, download the latest version of Mozilla and check these. http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux.html Also, is the printer supported in Mandrakes hardware list? http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/hardware.php3 Hope that helps. |
