getting braver Mail?
more questions
Ok, one day I plan to set up a domain on my linux box, (one of the reasons I want linux). BTW I know what linux is able to do, and I have goals as to what I want linux to do for me. Anyways, what is the mail server that comes in Mandrake 9? Also, is it possible to send email to an IP address? example byte@68.172.x.x I was just wondering as looking for a means to test with out having a domain on the box and having network solutions forwarding to my IP address.

Hi,
There are a number of them. Fetchmail and Sendmail. Those two are the most popular I think. I think you can send mail to an address like that. HTH, OOPS!

What mail server? incoming or outgoing? Check out: http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/9.0...tation/15.php3 for the list of complete packages. imap is by far the best mail system on it... heck you even have fax-to-mail gateways
