did i kill userdrake

ok, I can not access userdrake.

Before i would be in my user logon in KDE open a command line, type userdrake
then i would have to put in the root password, then I could access it. Now I can't I get the same error from my user or from loging in as root.

"Cannot lock user lib
file/etc/ptmp or /etc/glmp exist"

that is on a pop up box, with an ok to close,

then in the command line i get userdrake: the file password is busy (/etc/ptmp present)

Did I break it again?

it is still dead. I have no clue what I have done to hurt the userdrake

I have an hour before work, i am wiping it clean and starting over with what I have already learned, going to get a fresh start.

trying the expert install option, it gave me security settings, I chose Higher, since the next one said it made it a totally closed system. Higher is to give some client access I beleive.

Hi again Byte,

I think you might have had a .lck file problem. "Lock" files are a "temp" file that gets created when you are using a program to prevent others from accessing it will you are using it. At least that is what I was told once when I had a similar problem with Gnucash. All you need to do is find the file and delete it. Then you should be able to start your program.

HTH,
OOPS!
