Linux redhat 8.0 installation problem
well its installed, and it boot to the text version of linux (i guess im a beginner, i had linux class in clollege so im familier, but dont know the linux terms)
so im in [root@localhost root] i want to get into the graphical mode i think its "windows X" so i type in "startx" and i get this screen full message:

Strikes me as a configuration problem,you would be better off posting this in the alternative operating systems forum,as there would be users that are fully familiar with Linux redhat and they could guide you through.

Xfree86 is the video configuration. You possibly set your system into a mode it could not handle. Redoing setup for the video should do it.

re-run Xconfigurator from the command line and test your settings
to make sure you have the proper values
