Complete Linux newbie.
I have RH8 installed and running. Install went great. RH found eveything. Only problem is it will not play music CD's. This is my question: RH did not come with anything to view movies. Nothing to play mpg's. So I was told to get mplayer. Ok I downloaded it. I have not the foggiest on how to install it. This is the file name: mplayer-0.90rc3.tar.bz2 I'm gonna need spacific instructions. Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

This thread has the details on how to do it. After you are done untarring and unzipping make sure you read the README, it usually gives instructions on how to proceed with the intall. Let me know if you have any more questions and HTH. |
