There is another forum for Linux (I know this alternative OS, so its not just Linux). Anyway, its at http://www.linuxquestions.org
It has the same set up here, but has many different areas for different parts of Linux. The only problem at the mo is that it currently has under 300 members and is seeking more to join. I just thought that I would pass on this info because the site is part of the Linux Projects. |

Why sorry to say it? :)
Tis a nice link .. there are loads of discussion groups especially on Linux .. the open source is a community in the truest sense of the word. 1 linux user = a pioneer 2 linux users = 1 L.U.G. 3 Linux users = 1 L.U.G + 1 Discussion board :) Probably the most wonderful aspect of Linux is finding people in real life .. in the form of user groups near your locale if you need help. There are 2 issues that I have found with discussion groups though .. 1 - There is ALWAYS a cpl of M$ hacks & script kiddies who come by with absolute flames pretty much on every exclusive Linux board I have seen 2 - Most newbies refuse to have the patience to sit with it, and it becomes another flame fest .. with the newbie cursing Linux and the oldie cursing the newbie :) |

I have also noticed that newbie Linux users dont have much patience. I have only just started using SUSE 7.0 and love it. But I know so little about it because I have been using Windoze since I was little, and I do get frustrated at all the things that I cant do. That is why I use the forum. I cant help answer, but I can certainly ask! :-)
Ex-Static-Cling, I know you are right about the open-source nature of Linux, and hope that it becomes as big as Windoze one day. |
