modem on Win2k box-->p2p net-->Lindows on internet?
Ok I am behind the times. I still use dialup and I want to use Linux+Lindows but I know my modem won't be supported. Is it possible to use the modem in a Win2k box to connect a box running Linux to the internet? Same question regarding BeOS?

Hi drewK7VT2m,
I've no practical experience of Lindows or Linux, but from what I've read, a good external hardware modem should work with Linux. Until someone with more experience in this area gives you definite confirmation on this, you may want to peruse this link. http://www.linmodems.org/ HTH with part of your question. |
