modem on Win2k box-->p2p net-->Lindows on internet?

Ok I am behind the times. I still use dialup and I want to use Linux+Lindows but I know my modem won't be supported. Is it possible to use the modem in a Win2k box to connect a box running Linux to the internet? Same question regarding BeOS?

Hi drewK7VT2m,

I've no practical experience of Lindows or Linux, but from what I've read, a good external hardware modem should work with Linux.

Until someone with more experience in this area gives you definite confirmation on this, you may want to peruse this link.

HTH with part of your question.
