9.1 RC3, or just 9.1. It'll go on the comp in my sig. What does RC3 and i586 mean, anyway?

RC = Release Candidate
Get 9.1, it's the final 9.1 version. |

Okay, what exactly is a "release candidate"? Is it like a beta or something?

Linux supports lots of architectures, check out kernel.org for all supported architectures.
As for CPUs used in true Linux workstations, I guess Intel and AMD CPUs are the most popular ones. |
