Question Can I Download Mandrake

I've built a new puter and would like to download Mandrake onto it, My question is can I download this OS onto my windows computer so that I can burn the OS to disc without messing up my windows 98 OS, My better half would have my head if I messed up her puter that she uses for her work, after the disc burn I would be deleting the Mandrake info from her puter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks ...Terry

Heres a link to find what you need http://www.linuxiso.org/ and no downloading these to a win98 system will not cause any problems. Just download the cd images, burn them to cd and delete them from the win98 system when your through.
Hope that helps.

Since you'll be downloading the ISOs of the net and burning them on to cd, it's impossible for it to mess anything up as Mandrake will be locked up inside the ISOs untill it's burned to CD. The only way you could screw anything up is if you accidently left the CD in after you burned it to CD, it would automatically start installing. Thats all you need to watch out for tho.

Thanks for your replys, When onto the link DragonBreath gave and started to download and like to fell out of my chair when it got up to 184 hrs. to download, guess I'll be looking to buy the OS as my other half said she wasn't giving up her computer for a week to download anything, I'm going to try this again as we have a T-1 connection, I know 650 megs isn't going to take that long........scratching my head!!!!!!
