Which version of linux should i use. Suse or lycoris. I am new to linux so which one should i use. I have both of them.

It depends what you want. Lycoris probably has an easier install and the desktop comes as close to looking like WinXP as you can without getting sued by MS. Suse will give you a better feel for what linux is all about and comes with many more apts and has good configuration utilities. If you want to learn linux, Suse is probably the better choice.

Since you have these two, I won't suggest any others, although normally I would
(Mandrake). Go with Suse, simply because it is more "Linux-like" than Lycoris, at least in look and feel. They are each, obviously, completely Linux at their core (the kernel), but Lycoris's focus is on attaining Windoze nirvana, which is something I've never thought to be all that desirable.

I am currently playing with Red Hat 7.2 myself. Having VERY mixed results, but I am bound and determined to see this thing through this time
