fonts
ok, I run mandrake 9.1 and whenever I tell someone that Im a linux user they always comment that they hate the linux fonts, and I would just like to comment that I think the mandrake default fonts are way cooler then windows....just wanted to get some fellow linux users opinions on this.

If you dual boot (you have windows on your machine as well), you can use the True-Type Windows fonts on your linux partition. There should be a place in the control options in Mandrake for this. You can have the best of both if you choose!

Traditionally, fonts in linux really sucked but that is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. The font rendering in Mandrake 9.1 is beautiful, better than windows in my opinion. Red Hat 8.0 and 9 also have excellent font rendering. Gone are the days when you had to do a lot of tweaking to get decent fonts in linux IMHO.
