Mandrake 9.1 install help.

Ok, so i downloaded mandrake 9.1 a while ago and tried to install it. It goes for about a minute, loads the program, then detecting usb devices, then it fails. It gives me the error, Cannot load second stage ramdisk, and then thats it.

At first i thought it was the MD5sums, so i downloaded new isos with the right sums but it still gives me the same errors. I've unplugged everything i could and tryed to install ,no luck.

Any ideas...no one has been able to come up with a solution yet.

Do you have a USB mouse and/or keyboard? If you have PS/2 adapters, try booting up with them.

I just found out mandrake doesn't support nVidia chipsets, which i have....so i'm guessing that is the probelm.

Anyone know another distro i could use? Since i don't know linux i wanted to start with the more user friendly distros.

Hmm... My board has the nForce chipset (the first version), and it picks everything up. Do you have an nForce or nForce2 chipset?

What are your system specs?
