jukebox software?
What is good, preferably free, jukebox software for Linux? Like being able to convert files(at least wave MP3), and rip CDs? What about editing wav files and burning CDs?

I would like to use the KDE desktop. I'm a bit new at linux, and untill I can find the apps I want, I'm not ready to fully switch yet.
Will there be any major problems trying to use software that specifies gnome with KDE? L J |

You can use gnome software on KDE and vise-versa. The only caviate is you will need to install some or all of Gnome to do it ( dependecies thing). If you have the room go ahead and install Gnome, (you don't need to use it) and then you will be able to use what ever you want. If you are short on disk space then you might have some troubles.
KDE and Gnome are supposed to be working together to attain cross-compatablity. But if they succeed is anybodies guess at this point. HTH, OOPS! |
