win xp -- red hat 9 network

k well i installed red hat 9 on my custom pc...the custom has a built in ethernet port that im using and im trying to get it to connect to my network

i used to have this computer and my win xp machine networked before i put linux on it so iknow the nic is working

kk, well i was wondering how i can go about networking this...

i have a 5 port SWITCH, a Dell running on win xp with two NIC's (this 1 already has a net connexion), and i have the other custom pc

i was wondering how i can network these two together and what i need to do to get it to work, im a linux nub so please explain clearly if u can help

i heard i need to download something to get this to work...
kk well i also should tell u that i want the dell to be the server computer

k plz help soon i really need help

U can run a dual boot and reinstall windows onto which will reformat ur hdd than u can install linux which will let u have the option of which system to boot each time u turn on ur PC. I have no clue about networking with linux though.
