Driver Question and Word Processing
I'm thinking of putting Linux (Mandrake 9.1) on one of my partitions. I do, however have two questions before I put it on.
1) I was looking on ATI's website under Catalyst drivers for Linux. They have driver's for the 9500 Pro and the 9700 Pro, but not the 9600 Pro. Does that stop me from being able to run Linux? 2) Are their any good word processing programs for Linux that are similar in function to Office? |

Openoffice.org is very close to MS Office.
One thing I have noticed...nothing is granted with linux. Even if the hardware maker doesn't offer drivers for linux you still may be able to find something that works. Search the web and see what you can find.
