Have you setup a user on the NT for the Linux box. You can try connecting via smbclient smblient //PDC_NETBIOS_NAME/sharename -U administrator. This should ask for a password.

The red hat linux user account name Iīm using to configure the samba clients already exist in the NT user manager for domain list, I donīt know if this is the right way to do this.

If you set security to domain, the windows username will work. Just have to make sure the users are added to both the Linux box and the PDC.
