very newbie, help!!!

At first, I tried running Slackware-Live from the cd, then Mandrake 9.1, then now, Red Hat 9 Linux which is install in one of my partition along with windows xp. RH9 detect my video card as ATI 9700 pro. But when I type Startx, the screen flicker for a moment then it gives me an error such as "no screen found".. This happen to all the linux version I install. I download the driver from ati website but have no clue on what to do. I burn the drivers onto a cd cause I don't know how to transfer the files to the Red Hat 9 partition.

How do I transfer the files to the partition?

What do I type next to intall the drivers?

After I type root, and my password, I'm lost...

It appears to be an rpm.

First, see this page then install it, as the root user, as follows:

rpm -ivh
