Can someone give me a link to the best OS (In your opinion) to download for free?

I used Mandrake... but have since switched to Redhat.

So far which one did you like more Hal? Im kind of leaning more towards linux though, because i know people who say its really good. Another question also: Will I have to download different file types for that OS or can I just use the files made for windows?

Redhat is Linux.. and I am kinda partial to the Redhat now... Mandrake was a good start tho.

Same here started with Mandrake then changed to Redhat9 the great thing about Linux distros is you can download them for free so don`t worry too much about choice. If you don`t like the one you choose pick another one afterall it won`t have cost you anything ( apart from download time and some cd`s.)

Thats another good thing about Linux you can change the look yourself or download themes.
