Dual Boot
How do I dual-boot windows xp and red hat 9? Do I only have to install red hat 9 and it will come up with a dual boot option or do I have to do something different? Also will having to O/S's slow down my comp or will it only take up hd space?

All I did was install XP first and then install red hat 9. When the computer booted, the Grub boot loader came up and asked me if I wanted to boot into Red Hat or dos. I'm pretty sure all you have to do is make sure Windows XP is installed before Red Hat.

New Partition
Each OS will need its own partition to run. I have a second computer that is for experimentation and it dual boots Windows 98 and 2000. I split the drive in half with two partitions and installed the Win 98 first on C: then installed Windows 2 K on F:. My CD rom and burner take D: and E:

Is there anyway I can partition my hard drive without formatting it?
