Knoppix? good to start on?
i just wanna learn linux because its IS the next big thing and because Malaysia is all about piracy(not saying i support it) something free like Linux is a good thing for someone like me.
i just wanna know if it is good to start on for beginners? i also wanna know if it is a GUI? and if i have to use any code? so i can learn some soon im not saying all i'll use is Knoppix. i just wanna use this to ground myself with Linux. another plus point is that i dont have to install it. past experiences with Knoppix or any other Linux distro would be appreciated |

Knoppix is very good to start with, then proceed to mandrake , then redhat, and finally debian =)
I've used knoppix and it's one of the easiest distros to work with |

The good thing about knoppix is that it loads from the CD and doesn't take over your HD. It is a great way to play with Linux to see if you like it.
