Help with Knoppix
I just downloaded Knoppix to play around with it, but I'm having a couple of issues. First, it never seems to save me settings. I changed the screen resolution and refresh rate to 1024x768 and 75 Hz, but after exiting and restarting it defaults back to 640x480. Anyone know how to stop this? Also I can't seem to get the internet to work when using it. I'm on a cable connection so it should be always on. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!

It can't save any settings since the filesystem is on the cd. If you want to save your settings you have to install it, or save them into a file on a floppy and load it every time you start.

Don't know about that, but my guess is that is to put/remove/edit stuff on the iso. You could save your settings ,for example in the xfree86 config file, and save that on the iso, so the resolution will change.

Alright...anyone know about the internet thing? I've always been able to use the net on other distros, but not this one for some reason.
