Speed up red hat
i was wanting to know if there is a way to tweak red hat 8.0 so it will speed up...
I'm getting frustrated with how long evrything takes to open |

I have the same issue with Mandrake 9.1. I don't know if its because I know how to tweek my windows but it does everything faster than Linux (other than DL).
I seem to have set my beliefs in that when I understand Linux more fully I will have figured out how to "cut the fat".

I also noticed that my mandrake 9.1 takes a little longer to open stuff then xp pro.
I'm still learning so I don't know how to speed it up yet. But usually when I use linux I'm in no hurry. |
