hi,
i have linux red hat 8. I have a working sound card in it cos it plays sound effects and stuff. But ... Cd's dont play audio, and they do play in windoze so i dont know wot to do. thanks =(

Well, it really depends on what you are using to play CDs and, to some extent, what type of file you are trying to play. For instance, if you are using xmms and if you are trying to play MP3s, then RedHat doesn't like to do that. However, you can go to the xmms web site and download the fix for that.
On the other hand, if the above is not on the symptom list, then more info would be good! |
