KDE 2.0.1 Update - PCMech Forums

Dave22 Member (10 bit) Join Date: Apr 1999 Location: Maryland, USA Posts: 775	Just a little update on my KDE situation... Refresher: I had RH 6.1 (2.2-16 kernel) and I upgraded to KDE 2.0. Major system slowdown. Basically intolerable. New deal: Wiped out the machine, loaded RH 7 and KDE 2.0.1 and everything is good. Go figure. KDE 2.0.1 still eats up a fair amount of resources (read: RAM), but at least I can have 4 or 5 programs open and my system doesn't do the "disk swap and crawl" anymore!
