Apt get on Red Hat 9?

http://www.tasavur.com/linux/index.html

I didn't know that apt-get can be installed on Red Hat, has anyone tried it? I thought it was only something Debian distros had. (scroll down about 1/4 of the page to see the apt get install instructions)

There's also a short interview in the New York Times Magazine with Linus Torvalds for those who are interested.

I've installed it, and although it finds some of the packages , it can't find all of them (like in debian, where you are likely to find a package). In the occasions where it does find the packages , the dependencies are worked out, additional packages are downloaded and installed without a hitch.

HeHe, now Slack has one called Swaret. It worked pretty well in some preliminary tests.

so the reason apt-get in red hat is slower is because it uses synaptic rather than the regular apt-get commands?
