Linux dedicated server for half-life

I have a Linux server with half-life on it, no monitor, keyboard or anyhting, I access it through the network with putty.

Right now it jsut has Half-Life on it, version 1.1.1.0 I believe, the latest before steam.

I need it to host counter-strike 1.6 with steam, and have the "admin" mod, the "amx" mods, and "HLGAURD."

Can I install these over the network, how?

Where do i get the install files that I need?

P.S. wasn't sure whether to put in gaming or alternative OS, put it here because im more confused about the linux issues rather than the half-life issues.

Dear Andrewxcav,

To get the files onto the linux box from your windows box you need to run Samba

You could install samba, which allows you to share files. www.samba.org

If you don't want to do that, why not just burn them onto cd and transfer them that way?

HTH

Hi,

Are these still install files for the server install. that you are trying to move? I guess I would think that the procedure on how to setup an CS server would be on the the counterstrike server page. I have never looked at it myself though. Or do you mean to move different files? HTH
