messing around with lilo

messing around with lilo I managed to completely prevent myself from being able to access my Mandrake 9.1.

I had settings in Lilo for windows, Linux, hda1 and map.

I got tired of seeing the hda1 and map at load time so i tried removing the entries from my lilo and now the system boots straight into windows (by by lilo?).

any how I would like to be able to restore my access to Linux preferably without a Linux boot disk ( I like to have some control) is there a way to access these files in dos or windows?

well I didn't learn much but the issue is resolved.

by booting from the mandrake 9.1 disk 1 I was able to choose "upgrade" which in turn served as a repair of sorts allowing me to reconfigure my boot loader.

guess i learned something.

aye I was happy to find out that when in the "upgrade" mode I could remove the map and hd1 and still keep the good ones.

Not sure why my configurator wacked me like that.
