Linux plz help!

I have installed linux, mandrake 9. but I cant get the linux to know my network card so i can get access to the internet.!
My network card is not in the list of the network cards when i do netconfig.

what hsall i do?

in the device manager in windows it presents as: 3com officeconnect 10/100 network interface card 3csoho100b-tx

try a differant card, there cheap

actually, thats for wireless.. so it does not pertain. Sorry! But out of curiosity, will this work?

Well i tried different card that he did recognized. now i need to set somehow the internet acceess. i tried and ofcorse failed.
that what i have: i have a router and m comp connected to it. so all i need is specify to the linux somehow that i have router. but i dont know how. which setup or wizard shall i use?

do you have a broad band connection? I didn't like mandrake, everytime the screensaver went into affect it locked my computer. Try fedora, it recognizes everything, practically. Only have to download three iso's. Burn em and install it, I love it so far!!!!

When I installed mandrake i just went to were you set up a internet connection and it set up everything on its own.
