What is the problem with Fedora?

I used red hat 9 to experiment with the Linux OS and I expended almost 2 months of my free time to learn about linux using the red hat distro, now that there will be no more red hat, fedora is supposed to be the succesor, but in different forums including this, the users recommend to use another distros, like freebsd or Debian, not fedora.

If Fedora is supposed to be RedHat 10, what is the problem?

I´m downloading the second installation disk of fedora now.
