Gave up
I gave up trying to mess with Debian. I decided to try Libranet instead. Though it still doesn't register my wireless PCI card, no Linux OS has been able to do that. It installed easily and gave me open office, video and photo editing software, plus audio recording software. Bestb thing is it did that with one downloaded CD instead of having to use two to five and not even get the screen up.
