At the prompt, type
startx The GUI in Red Hat Linux is the X Windows system, with a window manager, which would be GNOME or KDE, depending on what you installed. If instead of a lovely user interface, you get bumped back to a prompt, then we have to do a lot more to get your problem fixed. :-( Cymbeline |

Thank you Cymbeline, That got me to the GUI now is there a way to adjust settings and display resolution? this looks like a cool OS if I could just get around some little bugs, like the screan wanting to wrap. During setup I made sure to select 640x480 just to start with but it wraps anyway and causes some really annoying things to happen.
Thanks Gene |

Drop down to console mode [or before doing startx], run Xconfigurator and select your resolution etc.
Screen wrap-ups and other features etc can be controlled using the configuration tool from within your GUI [is it Gnome?]. If u are using Enlightenment, from the Gnome Control Center. Cheers |
