Question QNX and HDD

Going to install QNX on a 2nd HDD.
Should the HDD be empty, formatted with Fat32, or what??

Ok this is probably a stupid question (plus I'm too lazy to google it), but what is QNX? TIA.

Embedded systems developers are under constant pressure to deliver high quality, increasingly complex, and scalable systems. At the same time, development cycles are rapidly shrinking.

For over 20 years, QNX realtime OS (RTOS) technology has been providing the foundation for mission- and life-critical embedded systems. Leading companies building systems for the networking, automotive, industrial, and medical markets rely on QNX to accelerate the development of reliable, scalable, and high-performance products.

Whatever that means.
