I have been playing around with Mandrake 7.2. It's pretty good but nothing spectacular over the previous versions. I am curious though. I tried typing in ifconfig and got a Command not found message. I think that I did a recommended install. I thought that ifconfig was on all flavors. I know that it is on 7.1 & 7.2.

Weird. I rebooted and suddenly there was ifconfig.

This usually happens if the account you are using is an ordinary account. Only root and privilaged user can use it.
