Mandrank 9.2 packaging help...
hello,
im using KDE in mandrake 9.2 and i installed some games in install packaging, and now my whole KDE is messes up, i don't have any games, i don't have an Amusement option when i click on the KDE start up ....it deosn't give me option to install any packages....before when i went into "configuration" there were more options but after the install and restart i now have "configuration"-->KDE-->Information and PowerControl... where did everything go ? do you have to do something after you use install packaging....it seems like it uninstalled packages if anything.,..~ ' also when i go to conf. it says Unable to run the command specified. The file or directory file:usr/share/appInk-mdk/Configuration/Configure your computer.desktop does not exist sage~ |

It's a bug in the menus only. The programs are still there. To correct it, hit Ctrl-Alt-F1 which will take you to a command line login screen. Type in your username and password then run:
$ update-menus -v After the above command runs, hit Alt-F7 and you'll be back in the normal gui mode. Check your menus and they should be restored. Next, run the updates in mandrake control center>Software>updates. There's a fix for this bug included. |
