Interesting article. I played around with FreeBSD. The installation in my opinion was awful. The main issue I had was that it was confusing. It was confusing not in what you were doing but in how you were doing it. You had to select the item at the top & click OK at the bottom which sometimes didn't work.

OpenBSD installation was a bit more smooth. Of course, Mr. Static, I know OpenBSD is your favorite anyway. Although, I am not sure the kernel used in it.
