i want to install linux. --i need help--
hello, im sure this topic has been brought up before but im totally lost on what to do.
i want to expand my knowledge into alternative OS, so i though linux would be a good place to start, it is popular and stable. after reading info on the www.linux.org i found there are many types of linux. so i need help to find a version of linux that is quite simple to use since i have never used it before. My current OS is windows XP pro which i want to keep. just have linux to learn on and experiment. can anyone help? Last edited by toxik; 02-22-2004 at 08:02 AM. |

Mandrake and Redhat are also very user friendly to someone new to linux as well as SuSE.
