You sure can. Multi-booting. How long does it take for a newbie to figure out how to use linux? That depends on how dedicated you are to learning Linux. |

1. no you can't, Photoshop and Dreamweaver are Win32 apps, and won't run under Linux, however, Linux has some alternatives, like Gimp.
2. yes, see this: http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/O...multiboot1.htm 3. modern newbie friendly distros like Mandrake and SuSE are very easy to use, you can install one of them and get on the Internet and run apps in no time, however, doing tasks like running a web server takes some time to learn. |

If you like dreamweaver and photoshop and you are confident in using them, then i would say keep using it for them. if you dancy have a go at some new programs then give linux a shot. Instead of dreamweaver you can get bluefish for linux, it is using for writing code, not quite as much of a WYSIWUG editor like dreamweaver but great for coding.

why use Wine when there is a native app similar to Photoshop, yes I know that GIMP doesn't have all Photoshop features, but I think it's be enough for the normal user.
