I downloaded the rpm package and about midway through the installation I get a error message: Package instalation has failed or something like that. You need to make sure that right down exactly what the error message is. Generally you will find that the installer is looking for some software that it is not finding. You will need to figure out what is missing and then install it.
Here is someplace you might want to look when setting up VNC. It seems that the problem might be with windows. Anyway you will want to read the question and answer and follow the link.

The first time I tried to install it asked me to put in the 3rd fedora disk so I did and then a few sconds later it failed. I checked the disk and its fine, so that isn't the problem. I just keep it in the cd drive now.The error message is: There was an error installing packages.
When I look at the installation box its trying to install compat-gcc-c++-7.3.2.96.118 |

I decided to run the red hat update tool. Because vnc was partly installed it picked up the vnc update. I figured out how to run the viewer, but I don't know how to run the server.
