Linux question
I've been reading the various post, some of which about Linux. I know it's an OS, but what makes it so good?

linux is differant form the other software by the code that is used to write it.
it is based on the unix kernal and is the one most stable and time proven software, and is basicly imume to any virous attact, also it is very secure in its structor, there is many other things that have to do with its security but can't think of them all right now |

Linux is more secure because everyone can work on the code, find vulnerabilities and submit patches, and there is no dead line for anything, new versions are released when they're done, so programmers can take their time to make Linux as secure and stable as possible.
Linux isn't only for servers, it has a GUI, and all kinds of desktop software, like web browsers, email clients, media players, CD/DVD burners, office suites and more. And Linux is free, you can legally download and use it, you don't have to pay anything. |
