compare as to what, they each have there pourpose in life and each do a fine job doing what they were designed to do.
so I fail to understand just what it is your trying to compare. thay are two diffirant systems with features of there own |

Maybe you should add an icon for a draw. To some extent I have to agree with Bailey.
While I hate M$ corperate policies, for sheer ease of use and the amount of hardware and software that is written to be used with it, Windows is a very good system, albeit expensive. For it's open license policy, vision of a free OS for anyone who wants it and selection of flavors, Linux is also a good system, with a noble idea. However, There are things that Linux has trouble running, unless you have the time and you are willing to learn how to compile and configure Linux. For that reason, at the moment, Linux will not appeal to the masses. |

I am going to shut this post down, we don't want any sort of entry into bashing an OS. If you wish any specific information about a feature on an OS that you dont know about then let us know, if you wish to learn about a particular OS then let us know ..
