Where can I get Linux install disks?
Was wondering where I can get Linux install disks. Supposedly, these disks are included free with certain Linux magazines, although, I've not been able to find them. Also was wondering why there are so many install disks. Why does Windows XP have one disk and Linux has 4-6 disks. Thanks.

Linux has more install CDs because a typical distro includes all kinds of apps, like office suites, IM clients, CD burners, image editors...
Windows XP only includes some basic apps like notepad and paint. Last edited by aym; 04-25-2004 at 03:19 PM. |
