Mandrake Linux help..
hi all, please help.
I have set up the video config. but the system boot up and I could not see the desktop, only vertical lines.,, how do I reconfig. my video so the resolution better?? thanks all,

Have you tried the Ctrl Alt + or - keys on your numberpad (make sure to set numlock)

The graphics configuration tool for mandrake is called XFdrake. To get to a text terminal from your faulty gui configuration, just hit Ctrl-Alt-F1 after booting up and you will be at a command line login. Login with your user name and password then run:
$ su [enter root password] # XFdrake Use your keyboard to navigate the menus and you can reset your resolution, color depth, graphics card, monitor, ect. Most importantly, you can test the new configuration to see if it works. Keep trying till you get something that works, then reboot with: # reboot |
