Mac spreadsheet

Hi,
Just bought the new iMac with iWorks pre installed. What i'm wondering is their any way to open MS Excel documents? I've used 'Pages' for my old Word documents but I can't seem to find anything to open Excel docs.

Cheers

Hi,

downloaded that office application but it won't run. I keep getting the message that I need X11 before I can use it. I went to the Apple site and downloaded it but when I run it it says that I already have a newer version. Is there any way round this or have I missed something?

Cheers in advance

Mackem

Install X-11 off of the restore disk that came with the iMac and try openoffice again.

You could also install crossover mac http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/ and install your windows version of office without installing windows.

Or you could use Parallels Desktop www.parallels.com and install a windows virtual machine to run office.

Lastly, you could get the Mac version of office and just use that!. She student/teacher version is cheap.

I think these options might help:
open office
1 intel mac - http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/do...lDownload.html

2 ppc mac - http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/do...CDownload.html

neo office

3 - ppc & intel http://www.planamesa.com/neojava/en/download.php

good luck
