How should I partition HD
Getting iMac to replace aging PC. I plan to use Mac's ability to run XP & the PC software I now have (mainly Adobe items). Any suggestions for the best way to partition the HD? On my current 150Gb HD, I have 50 Gb for OS & 100 Gb for documents. I plan to get a 300 Gb HD on the iMac.

Do you have a question regarding the process of partitioning or suggestions on how to size the partitions? In terms of sizing, it would be a good idea to leave around 15 GB of space for the Windows partition while leaving the OS X boot intact. This is assuming that you will have a suitable document partition (ie. file system that is accessible by the Windows boot) in another partition.

Yeah, my question has to do with sizing. I mistakenly undersized a partition on my PC some time ago and don't want to do the same on iMac. I'm pretty sure of the sizes I'll allot for XP OS and Windows Docs, so I guess I need to know good sizes for OSX and Mac docs.
