Looking for a rig to run CS3

Hi, I'm looking for an iMac that will run Adobe Photoshop CS3 for a photographer friend of mine. Would this rig run CS3 decently or should I go for the next one up with a 2.66GHz processor?
Budget is roughly $2,000 for both CS3 and the computer.

* 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 2GB memory
* 250GB hard drive
* ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB memory

I'm just not sure how well CS3 is going to run on a 2.4.

I use CS3 all the time. It says on box can run at 1.7 Ghz, so you're fine. I recommend kicking it to 3.0 or 3.2 Ghz Intel chips. A few extra bucks will save you alot of time while generating pics, if you mess with huge pics like me. If you'd like, get another 2 Gb of RAM if you do graphic generating too. It will allow more RAM usage while multitasking. And I know Macs do too without having to go to 64-bit.
Should be a sweet system.

It really depends on how professional your friend is, if he's going to be using massive canvas' then the extra processor will be useful. I use a 2.66GHz processor and CS3 works great. It really does depend on if he's going to notice seconds here and there while rendering.

Might I add that my old Dell, 256mb, 2.5GHz P4 ran CS2, not well, but it ran it at normal picture resolutions. So bear that in mind. I doubt CS3 is much harder to run.

a 2.4Ghz core2duo will run like a 4+Ghz single core computer, a 1.8Ghz core2duo can run cirlces around a 3GHz p4 computer, in case you wanted to know.
It is more than enogh to run CS3, depending on the OS, 32bit system can only do 2-3GB of RAM; adding more will not help at all.
