I just recently inherited a G3 iBook, and wanted to get a mouse for it. I've been told
that ONLY a 1-button USB mouse can be used with an iBook... Unfortunately, all vendors are out-of-stock of this item, and the manufacturer has stopped making it! But...is this requirement for a 2-button USB mouse for the iBook really just a fiction perpetrated by Apple? Can't you also use a two-button USB mouse with the iBook? Thanks for any feedback on this.... |

As long as you have OS X on the ibook, you can plug in a Microsoft USB mouse. I did so for awhile.

You can pick up a $10 USB microsoft mouse from newegg. I just ordered one for someone else recently.
Apple does provide their "mighty mouse" with iMacs, which as two button click capabilities...you just have to enabled it in the system preferences...
