Any comments on the MacPro?
Hi PCMech user,
My office bought a Mac and it is pretty interesting. So I went to the Mac store online and saw the Macpro. It have 2 Quad processor at 2.8Ghz which is very appealing. I was wondering if anyone had any comment on this? It is minimum of $2400 and was wondering if I could build the same system with Intel? Thank you, Stéphane |

For $2400 you could easily build a PC with far greater hardware capabilities.
However, you could not run MacOS on it. For that, you have to buy a Mac.

They're nice, but with their current price tags I won't be buying one for a while.

You do pay a premium but the internals are really pretty and OS X is awesome in my opinion. But if you are considering it, buy the lowest spec'd computer with the processor you want and upgrade the rest from newegg.com
